Does anyone have any info about this franchise or if they have started
building thier arena. They are supposed playing ECHL 2006-07 season.

Well, this is the team taking the place of the old Pee Dee Pride. The Pride
ended up in the SPHL now from what I'm told. But the arena in PeeDee was
sooooo ghetto, almost as ghetto as the Inferno's rink, that they folded up
shop & said "Hell, let's build a new one closer to MB".

Last I knew, the details were still being worked out as to whether the new
rink would be in MB proper along the Grand Strand, or in the neighboring
village of Conway.

I caught the last Pride game went they ended the season against the
Stingrays. It was kinda sad to see the franchise end, what with all the
great rivalry with my Rays. They started giving away all the gear
too...extra helmets were tossed pell-mell into the stands. Mine is over in
the corner with a couple of sticks from Rays players.
