A Ranger friend fan and I were talking. What he said certainly rang a bell,
though it's been a long time since I thought of it.
In the early to mid 80s, the Rangers had a stud prospect, we think from
Sweden. But his career ended after just a few games because of I think a
knee injury crashing into the net (in the pre magnetic mooring days).

That might be true, Simo did get injured. Simo is from Finland not
Sweden though.
