Impossible. Cablevision is the easiest company in the world to do
business with. Its consumer-friendly management would never do anything
that would hurt the viewer.

Fear not. You shall have everything you want.

Especially if "raping you in the ass in front of your grandmother" is
exactly what you want. Good at that.

Tim...

I have Cablevision as well. Cusotmer Service can't give me any info other
than "It's not available right now"

They didn't have the MLB Extra Innings package available until sometime in
May, and now it appears they'll be late with Center Ice, if we even get the
opportunity to purchase it at all.

Quite Frustrating.

Our friend Mike Ventolo in the Devils ng could probably give you a
rundown on it. From what I have picked up, it all surrounds the NHL's
attempt to launch an NHL channel on expanded basic cable. We've -
well at least non-Cablevision customers - been down that road before
with Metro, no? In fact I remember someone kinda amused by it cough
cough ;-D even with the Viceroy's notion that what goes around comes
around. This time it's Comcast who owns the Versus channel who is
cool with having an NHL channel on their expanded basic array while
others like Cablevision want to relegate it to the pay tiers (cause
hockey viewership is y'know not so good) where Mr. Bettman says nyet.

After some telephone abuse, Mr. Ventolo informs us he has his Center
Ice, though whether that means he'll have it tomorrow, who knows?

They're telling me they're still negotiating. Tonight I flipped on
421, clicked on info and it said NHL Center Ice and listed a number to
subscribe. I guess that's a good sign.

OK so Cablevision gets the deal done after the start of the season.
But has anyone else been getting the black screen and "This Channel Is
Currently Not Available" message?

Unplug this, reset that, reboot this, initialize that, pull this
card!! WTF? Here we go again.

DirecTV's Center Ice - Jeezus, the picture quality on the Montreal/Carolina game is so bad I can barely make out the players numbers. I have a new HR-20 DVR and a flat screen tv, yet it looks like old footage from the seventies. What a rip-off.

Anaheim in 6, Ottawa in 6 - And the Ducks take home the Cup.

How was that any different.... - How was that waved-off goal in Buffalo any different than the one in game 1 against the Rangers? Why did that one count, and this one didn't? By the way, VS. is absolutely terrible. Joe Beninati? Why don't they just get Rick Jeanerette or some other....

Scary good - More "scary" than "good".

Teeeeee-mu Selanne! - And Hockey Town is stunned. Woooo-Hooo!!
