NHL Network is on my TV

Are you able to view it without getting some sort of package? I have it on
276 too, but when I called they denied it existed and tried to tell me that
I need to pay $160 to get "the hockey package" ( center ice? ). I told them
it was showing classic NHL games, not live games. I still get the message
that I am not authorized to view it.

I've got it on 419. Be nice to have it hi-def like the NFL network.

It just appeared. I didn't order the sports tier yet. The prior message
said NHLN is a free preview until early December. I'd say you were
dealing with a Comcastic idiot.

The prime-time version has been on since 9 pm, including live cut-ins to
games. That's even better, though if you sit for 4 hours it could get
repetitive.

I scrolled through their listings on my DVR. The only live game I found
was on Halloween night -- Columbus at LA.

My Comcast system is the same way. NHLN is on the channel lineup, but
it's blocked; you just see an 800 number to call. There's no information
about it on the Comcast web site either.

I've dealt with some real idiots recently when I changed my service. The CS
people on the phone were actually the helpful ones, the local office was on
their own page.

Thanks, Alice. At least I don't feel so confused now. I don't even get the
800#, it tells me to press info for ordering info. I get zero, just the
"not authorized" screen. When I called them, they said I wasn't seeing it
because it didn't exist. She said they don't carry NHLTV.

That's too bad, because they just mentioned that the US version will
have a live hockey game on Friday night (I think Sabres-Panthers).
Naturally, I'll be in Minnesota for the weekend with the mess that is
the Eagles.

Oh, it's worse than that. A few weeks ago, when the carriage agreements
were announced, I emailed CS and asked how to get the NHL channel. I got
a response that I was in luck, as the NFL channel was now available on a
special sports tier (no matter that it was a regular digital channel
last year).

ESPN classic ( i think ) used to have a bunch of classic and oldtimer games.
They even had old b/w games, cool stuff. It was awesome to see how the game
has evolved. I'd be more interested in watching classic games than seeing
every other current game as part of a sports package. As long as Comcast
gets my money, I get the Flyers home and away anyway. That, and occasional
games on Vs, does me just fine.

i probally see close to 40 per week.............I have 3 tvs hooked
into 2 Directv recievers and 1 Fios reciever
so i can moniter multiple games at once
