They're biased against people who live in apartments and face north.

I'm pretty sure it'll be available on DTV by the end of the month. So,
any day now.

i've got it too, now. didn't think my local rinky-dink cable company
would pick it up. i have center ice, so i'm not sure if it's part of
that, or just a freebie for a week, or what.

i flipped it on during the flyers game tonight, and the first thing i
saw was a 1991 playoff game between the wings and blues that didn't
seem to have any particular importance. hopefully this type of
programming isn't typical.

As a side note to people who have DirecTV: if you want their new HD
programming (as of Sept. '07) you have to get a new dish and receiver,
even if you have the old HD package (as I did). If you have Center
Ice, it's definitely worth it--about half the games so far have been
on in HD. I was offered a deal by them that included a new dish/HD
receiver + installation for 'free' with a new 2-year contract. You can
also choose to upgrade to an HD DVR for $200 (which I did). There are
quite a few HD channels now, including VS. It's great being able to
watch the Flyers games in HD after the kids have gone to bed. Plus you
can replay trhe good/bad stuff over and over again and really see
what's going on.

The NHL network is not part of Center Ice.
