St. Louis is a much improved team and they sure played like it last
night. The Wild had their hands full but Gaborik's sharp shooting was a
thing of beauty. I still don't know if Rad is a good match with Demitra
and Gabby. I really hope Lemaire finally finds a center for that line
because they could have a big year. Moore might be the best fit.
It is amazing to see the parity in the league this year. At this point
even the cellar dwellars has a record within a few games of .500. And
the worst team is the Caps and they have one of the league's best in
Ovechkin. Going to be a fun years and it looks like playoff berths will
not be decided until very late in the season. Good stuff. >> Stay informed about: Nice Win Over St. Louis |

Yes, that was a fun game last night at the Xcel! I was there with a couple
people from work, and it was an excellent game. Sure made up for the
last game I was at, when Columbus spanked the Wild. The Wild looked
like a different team out there tonight.
A very fast paced game with lots of good scoring opportunities by both
teams. The Roloston slapshot was sweet, and that line in general played
really well. Belanger may not have many goals lately, but he does so
many of the little things...controlling the puck, setting up the pass, etc.
Gabbys overtime goal was even sweeter! Now Gabby has scored nine
goals in the last ten games, and five goals in five games in a row! That's
the Gabby I like to see! Having Demitra back on the line has to be a big
boost as well.
I'm glad the Wild played well, since the new NHL Players Association
Director, Paul Kelly, was at the game.
Nicely done, Wild. Hopefully they can keep up that momentum for the
next couple home games against the Canucks and Flyers. Those are
going to be tough ones.
Go Wild!!!!

I have become a fan of Voros and Foy. They are hustlers and you can
tell they do not want to go back to Houston.
And for only being 19 years old...Sheppard is going to become a star. >> Stay informed about: Nice Win Over St. Louis |

Yes. Like I said before the season started, the Wild have a lot
of very good young players in their system.
Sheppard, Foy and Voros have all played very well so far this
season. I still think there is potential for Petr Kalus to develop into
a pretty good player as well.
Hey, Chief Instigator, how is Kalus looking down there in Houston?

He's cranking it up, and got the assist on Madsen's goal that tied the game
at 1-1 earlier tonight. (Grand Rapids' Mark Hartigan was serving penalties
for Maxim Noreau's power-play strike that gave the Aeros their first lead of
the night at 4:57 of the third, and then he got nicked 27 seconds into OT,
which lead to Jon Awe strafing Adam Berkhoel 63 seconds later for the
game-winner. Two nights in a row, two overtimes, and two game-winning goals
with the extra man. Constantine has them refusing to quit, and I think the
Aeros are going to be just the least bit scary to the rest of the AHL in the
next couple of months.)

Yeah, it has to be bittersweet when you see the top Aero's players
getting yanked for the majors, and leaving holes on the roster
there to fill.
Glad to hear that Kalus is turning it up a notch. The kid is fast, and
with a little playing time could develop into a promising player. It
looks like they are playing him as a winger, but I though his natural
position is a center. In any case, it's good for him to switch up on
positions and get the ice time. I hope to see him in a Wild uniform
some day.
Glad to hear that the Aero's are getting it together and are able to
keep fighting. Thanks for the update.

I've been used to that since the affiliation began back in the last days of
the IHL.

Based on the first two months of the season, I expect he'll get at least a
cup of coffee up there in the next four months.
>Glad to hear that the Aero's are getting it together and are able to

Now the fun starts: the Aeros are gone until December 22, with a
doubleheader at Manitoba on Friday and Saturday, then a New England trip
through Hartford, Springfield, Worcester, and Providence (from Wednesday to
Saturday of next week), and ending with a December 21 game at Iowa before
coming home the next night for the home half of the home-and-home with
Springfield. If they can get at least seven points out of that trip, we
might get to see a game or two in late April.
