Anyone else think that clever Fin may have just opened up some
ice for his speedy linemate Donovan? It just may be that Wings
trying to give him a little payback for his cheapshot on Joseph
might open some room.

Personally, I was glad that the NHL suspended Nieminen for game five. If
the NHL did not suspend Nieminen, I'm sure that one (or a few) Detroit
forwards would have taken a run at Kiprusoff.

As for Nieminen's stupid hit, I don't think that will help the Flames.
Donovan's been effective enough this series, using his speed to get past
slower Detroit defencemen (ie. Derian Hatcher).

I think the suspension helped greatly. Getting #10 back on the ice
was a huge lift simply because of the team respect for Lowry. What
motivation Nieminen tried rather clumsily to achieve, Dave Lowry
created by work ethic.

On a side note, overall, I think Hatcher was just brutal in the series.
