Thomas didn't play, B's didn't play much either.Did manage 38 shots
once Preds figured
out they had a cakewalk.

Boyes was only Bruin that wasn't a minus.

Mara caught up ice on 1st & 4th goals. First one looked like he just
took a little snooze out
at the point.

Phoenix beat Sharks for second game in row, 8-0. Coyotes seem to be
coming on since Boynton
went out with injury. Nick's numbers this year, 2 assists in 20 games,
-7, 72 PIM. Scatchard
a robust -16. Sharks have lost 4 of 5.

Canes won Friday night 4-2, Tanabe had 2 assists. Due to injuries,
Tanabe played some forward
and the point on PP. He's only dressed for 18 games, but is a +1.

Though he played well last night in an OT loss, Raycroft has been
unimpressive for Leafs. Coach
Maurice stated this week that his goaltending has been average at best
and they need better.

Colton Orr got in a couple of beefs last night for Rangers.

Samsonov's stats in Montreal: 36 games, 6 goals, 11 assists. Well worth
the money.
Marty Reasoner in Edmonton: 36 games, 4 goals, 10 assists.

Yeh, well, there's worth and then there's worth.

ZDENO CHARA D BOS 36 6 17 23 -4

At 7.5 mill, that's a little over a million a goal, so far. With a
minus four to boot.

As an obviously asute hockey fan, you well know that defensemen don't
score goals
as often as forwards. It most certainly is a comical comparison,
Samsonov to Chara,
and I'm sure we all appreciate the humor.

I could try to explain it too you. But, I doubt a moron like you would
get it.
Seems there was way to much chlorine in your gene pool.

Believe the subject was about worth. Is Chara worth 7.5 mill? The
Bruins and their fans (well, at least the original poster) seem to
think so.

Wasn't comparing Samsonov to Chara. In my opinion neither is worth what
they're getting.

But when comparing underachievers. Sure would rather take a 3.5 mill
hit on the cap, than 7.5 mill.

You did mention goals as your main point, with +/- thrown in as an aside.

Yeh, well. He'd better start scoring more. Because at -5 he sure as
hell ain't helping keep them out.

BTW, you can keep that 25 cents, as a matter of fact, you can shove it.
Right in there beside your head.

Here is 25 cents worth of advice. If you want to talk about overall
worth, especially in discussing a defenceman, don't make goals the first
thing out of your mouth (and one of two things in a very briefly made
argument).

Learn how to make a point, and I won't have to worry.

Yes, stats, especially offense don't tell how good any defenseman is. I
think Bog3 nailed it when he said Z is good but no Bourque. Then again
nobody in the league is Bourque but how many make 7.5 mil.

Mr. 2 bits, how do you think the Bruins would perform if Chara wasn't
there to
play 30 minutes a night? With Mara manning the power play and more of
York
& Mara on the PK? Playing half the game on a team that isn't very good,
I'd say
-5 isn't that bad. And his partner, Alberts, is a +7 so he probably
gets a lot of minuses
when he gets stuck out there with some other shalmele.

Doubt very much you'd find the point, if given a map 'to' the point.
BTW, try not to worry, it eats up brain cells, and from the look of
your posts, you haven't got any left to lose.

One last try...

You said:

"At 7.5 mill, that's a little over a million a goal, so far. With a
minus four to boot."

Now, I have no idea why you would calculate cost per goal this early in
the season...nor why you would bring up goals as your main point in a
discussion of the worth of Chara.

So why don't you help me try and understand...
