A sellout at Rexall Place is 16839. All games so far this year have been
sellouts. The reason the stats show attendance down from last year is the
numbers are skewed because of the Heritage Classic. That games attendance
(over 60000) was included in the year's average attendance figures and
accounts for the 17698 number which is 859 over Rexall's capacity.

Hope that clarifies.

but attendance is down. They are averaging less people per game. It is
that simple. Skewed or not, they had more people watch games last season
than they will this season.

They are not averaging less people per game. How can you be when you've
sold out every game so far and all games in October are sellouts, which
hasn't happened since '84/'85?

At the end of this year, will they have the same attendance figures as
the end of the 03/04 season? If the 03/04 season sees higher average
attendance figures than at the end of this year, even if it was due to
one game, it is still a higher average per game.

What are you talking about? BKM wrote:

(only Canadian team with attendance down)
Did they raise the prices there?"

He was using the skewed number of 17698 (due to the Heritage Classic) posted
as the '03/'04 average attendance as compared to 16839 posted for this years
average so far. We're not talking about the end of the year, we're talking
about the year so far. This year, attendance is up over the same number of
games of the last (03/04) season.
