Ron Shudra (Sh), Mike Ware (Ca) & Steve Moria (Ba) are 37. Rob Stewart
(Be) is slightly older, being born in '66, as is Vezio Sacratini (Ca).
However Hilton Ruggles (Co) was born in '63, making him easily the
oldest at 40.

Steve Moria was born on 3 February 1961 which makes him 43. He was 25
when he first played for Fife in the 1986/87 season.

Thanks both.

Still in there @ 43 that pretty impressive, Theres a debate on the Coventry
discussion group on yahoo about Ruggles and particularly Chartrand, who has
been playing in the UK as long as I can remember.

Still liking what Ruggles does for us, and Chartrand I am not a fan of his
so much but really came on since start of season, bit of a selfish player at
times though, but definatly does good job off the first line.

Not according to the Basingstoke website. Which may of course, be
incorrect.

I think he is doing a 'Joan Collins'. I got the information from the Ice
Hockey Facts and Figures books from the late 80s and early 90s. The
first one to publish birth dates 1988/89 has 3-Feb-1961 for Moria. I
also remember when he joined Cardiff in 1988 it was reported that he was
the same age as John Lawless, who was also born in 1961.

Also they had fortieth birthday celebrations for him at Cardiff a few
years ago.

It is indeed Steve Moria, of Basingstoke Bison.
I one of the latest Powerplay magazines it mentioned he is 43 and has played
his 650th game.
