Good question. I don't want to see him go, but if Rutherford is
saying that Nov is make or break, I'd have to say that the Canes were
broken during the past month, and that would seem to spell the end of
Maurice's tenure with the team. I think it's a damn shame that they
are in this position, because the team is really playing no
differently than they did in the spring of '02.

So true. Maurice has done well with the talent he's been given, but I
think there is a perception that his style is too "lunchpail." I get
the feeling that they want to turn the team into less of a grinding
team and more into a skilled team, but I'm not sure you can do that
effectively with a middle-salaried team I dunno, really...I just post
here. :-)

But I hope he keeps his job...I like him.
