Pretty good overall effort, if light on the scoring.

Nabby was exceptional, especially in the second half of the third
period, when the Sharks either ran out of some gas or got too
"prevent" minded. Sharks now have #1 defense in NHL.

Imagine, if this team could actually win games at home.

P.S. OT: Anybody been following Brad Boyes lately?

Yeah, I thought it was a fairly exciting game, well played on both
sides, really. The Sharks had a couple of other chances they could
have scored on, and Phx had a couple they probably should have put in,
but Nabby has a hex on them now.

Great save by Vlasic, IIRC, in the crease for what would have been a
goal a split second later. The refs didn't have a great night.
Besides some questionable calls and non-calls, they physically got in
the way of a couple of plays too.

Although he didn't score, I thought Marleau looked good out there. He
had two end to end rushes, weaving through the defenders at high
speed, but couldn't finish. Bryzgalov also had an excellent game.

Yep. 17 goals, team leader for StL. I don't know what it is with
this guy. The Sharks traded him before giving him a chance in the
NHL, although they had a reason at the time (or maybe they hated JJ so
much they just wanted to go on record as trading him twice).

Inexplicably, after winning a trade with the Sharks via Buffalo, with
Boyes playing very well in his first year, Boston dumps him after a
soph slump! So he's scoring again. No real surprise there...
