For an acquaintance moving to NYC from VA, what are the top 3 private
schools with good sport (football, basketball, ice hocket, soccer,
etc) teams?

Baldwin
Brearley
Browning
Cathedral
Chapin
Collegiate School
Columbia Grammar
Convent of the Sacred Heart
Dalton
Fieldston
Hewitt
Horace Mann
Nightingale-Bamford
Riverdale Country School
Spence
Town
Trinity School
York Preparatory School

Thanks
Mike

Screw the private schools. See if the kid can get into Brooklyn Tech. As a
public high school, you have no idea of the alumni money backing that place.
It's like every five years they rebuild the school. It's mind boggling.

Computer Associates money; Barnes & Noble money; Ingersoll-Rand money; ADP
money, Gristede's money. The CEOs of those companies were or are Tech alumni.

What a game - Whew! See, Asham is (slightly) better than Bates. Take a look at the Isles' home record when you get a chance. Jason

Nolan vs. Buffalo... - Ted Nolan finally returns to the NHL, and now, has the chance to knock off the Buffalo Sabres...the team that wouldn't commit to him after winning Coach of the Year. Wouldn't it be sweet? 2 wins would be good enough for me.
