McCabe is greedy. Money is more important then winning.
I guess the Boyle trade puts the clamps on the Kubina to San Jose rumours.
Boyle just signed that contract in February.

I don't think he's a bad dude for not waiving. I think the org is pretty
slimy in the way they've gone about pressuring him, to be honest. I
certainly wouldn't call it greed. I think it's more the complacency that
seems to have infected the Leafs dressing room over the past few years.
Once you get used to losing, you learn to externalize it.

I am sure they asked him nicely in the beginning. Just the same as Tampa
did with Boyle. The problem with the Maple Leafs is all the loose lips down
at MLSE. Guys who are feeding inside information to reporters like Dregor,
McKenzie and Berger. So everything plays out in the media and becomes an
overblown circus.

You are right, McCabe should not have to waive his NTC, however alot of
players in other citys have recently have waived their no trade clauses to
go to winning situations. It scares me that guys like Tucker, McCabe,
Kaberle and even Sundin would rather play in Toronto and lose then go to a
cup favourite making the same money.

Boyle is currently building a mansion in Tampa, he could have easily said no
thanks i'll stay for 6 seasons. He signed the deal 5 months ago.

McCabe deserves it. I don't want Leafs management to kiss every player's
ass. I want them to be fair. McCabe has not come close to earning his
salary.

I'm sorry for being a spelling nazi here, but...
"citys"? Many people tend to misspell 'a lot', but this is the first
time I've seen someone misspell 'cities'. :-)

Only people who want to understand what each other are saying, which isn't
always the case these days. From a recent news story: "The suspects turned
themselves into police."
