I'm going on tour next month, and trying to fill a couple dates. Are
there any comedy or rock venues down there that I could call to try to
book something? Maybe a bar with a stage that has bands on weekends or
something?

Good god dude, I live in the bible belt, in what a friend of mine referred
to as bible-town USA.

Lynchburg has nothing, but Roanoke has a place called the Coffe Cup (I
think) that does Rock. There's also a place call the Elephant walk. Good
luck and let me know if you get something booked.

We send presskit to any venues that want to book us. It includes a CD,
a DVD of our live shows, and other random stuff. Pics, etc. It's up to
them to market the show. If they get the wrong crowd coming in and
people get offended, it's their problem. They knew what we were, and
should have advertised to a different crowd. Christ, we even send them
a poster they can hang up that says, "The World's Greatest Neil
Diamond Cover Band With Filthy Lyrics".

There is a place in Lynchburg that I forgot all about. It's called "Cattle
Annie's" It used to be a honkie-tonk/line-dance type place, but has since
become a concert/pool hall. They book some of the middle tier up-and-comer
bands and old washed up bands looking for a comeback. I think you can get
an audience there, but just bill your act for what it is, so there's no
surprises or backlash from the audience. I think it can handle maybe 1,000
people.

Yeah, that's the only reason I felt safe saying it.
I'm not exactly what you would call charming.
