What's up with Campbell? He didn't play the second half of the 3rd period.
And it looks like Roszival is out. I guess he pulled a muscle when Connolly
handed him his jock. Not really. A check by Kotalik put him out. Speaking of
Alice, nice to see him back on the score sheet.
Here's your balance. The Sabs have 9 players with 4+ points. By comparison,
the Rangers have just five. Shit, even the punchless Devils have six. Only
Ottawa has as many as that though. And San Jose and Detroit can only claim
four each.
Vancouver, despite having played more games than any other team, still only
has five. Of course, it doesn't help that seven of those games were against
Dallas. After combining for 9 goals in the opening 4 OT thriller (the most
boring 3+ OT periods I have ever watched), the teams combined for only that
many in the next four games.
That was a great article in SI about Drury a few weeks ago. I'll be sick if
they let him get away.
Buffalo, Ottawa, Anaheim, and San Jose are all 5-1 in the playoffs. I'm
going to go out on a limb and say that these are our conference
finalists...note that I've waited until they all won the Game 1's to make
that prediction. In a related story, I predict GWB will be a disaster as
president.
And just for shits and giggles, are series MVP's awarded? I guess it has to
be Drury last series.
Apparently, the series is a big deal in the Czech Republic. Jagr, Rozsival,
Malik, Rachunek, Prucha, Straka, Kotalik and Spacek are all from the CR.
Spock and Straka are both from Plzen. Can anyone guess what other famous
export came from there?
Rochester trails Hamilton 3-2 in their series. >> Stay informed about: Random thoughts... |

Emil Škoda (1839-1900), engineer and industrialist
isn't that the character name of the shrink on Law & Order, the one who
also was the Aryan leader on the HBO prison show?

I'll second your prediction...note I made my picks for the ENTIRE playoffs
on 4/11/07 and so far I'm 7 out of 7 (not 8 since I layed off of the
Ottawa/Pittsburgh series). >> Stay informed about: Random thoughts... |
