It's disturbing when a team like Toronto gets to the point where it's
actually better to lose games so they can be in a better position to
rebuild in the future. It's tough on the players, tougher on the fans,
and generally bad for Canadian hockey. We need all of our Canadian teams
to be competitive or the Stanley Cup will never make it back to Canada
again.
Interestingly, the Sens seem to have trouble getting up for teams that
they should be able to handle easily. They should have been able to beat
Washington without too much trouble, but they ended up making the
Capitals look like a bunch of Wayne Gretzkys - twice in row. Didn't the
Leafs beat the Sens the last time they met?
