About JJ's comments... - I just checked on the salary of Ottawa and Ottawa spent about 200 thousand less than the Bruins. Buffalo spent about 1.5 million less. The average team salary was 41.7 million. The B's spent about 43.7. Only 11 teams spent..

Yay! Allen and....who? - So we signed Allen and Byron (OK, Ballroom Blitz reference there!) NOW we are set. Wimper.

Byron Bitz Impressions - I was very fortunate in that I was able to attend several Cornell home games the last two years. I was aware that Byron Bitz was a Bruins draft choice, so I did pay keen attention to him. I can describe my of him as the second coming of..

Brad Stuart - I read that the B's lose the 4th Round Pick they got for Jurcina from because Stuart didn't re-sign with the Flames. So, we got nothing for Jurcina. Oh well, at least Stuart didn't get the big money he had hoped for, he really mailed it in last..

Jurcina/Boyes - lots of comments about these guys getting traded... Jurcina was +/- Bos -5 vs. Wash +5 Pts Bos 40 games 3 points vs. Wash 30 games 9 points Minutes per game Bos 10.42 Wash 23/24 mins per game too many games with St. Louis but was + 1 and..

I'm a fan of all Boston teams. But looking at the Sox-Yanks
rivalry & all the examples you mentioned of how the Yanks always
pull it off, find a way to win, etc. what about the Bruins & Habs?!
Until 1987, it was just as bad! I'll bet you can name several of the
"phantom" calls & fluke goals that the Habs always came up with
to beat the Bruins, esp. in the playoffs & at the Forum!

OK, clearly you don't get it.

So, I propose a wager. If the Sox & Yankees meet in the playoffs, you
can have
the Sox, I'll take the Yankees. Loser has to respond to all RM posts
for a week.

I know a Yankee fan at work who bets on the Red Sox every time they
play
the Yankees. He calls it "covering his ass". And much like myself, his
mental
stability has been questioned.

Looks like I'll be getting the home field advantage if the Sox could
actually get
that far.

Even when they win I lose.

I've got tickets for tonight's Sox game. Last night it looked like a
certainty that the
Sox could clinch tonight. So I'm rooting for Mariano, the greatest
"sure thing" ever
out of the Yankee's pen with a 3 run lead. Yeah, he blows it, like
he's pitchin' for the
Mets.
