What the hell happened to this group? Where are those characters...Adams
aka Truebador, Speedfrank, Moth? C'mon guys has it been that long or are
you all wearing different colors now?

Well I think the Caps are doing the right thing if they are committed to
seeing it through. As a Pens fan I know all about down years and such. The
Caps have a great field of prospects and need to bring them along and get
some experience. I know allot of Cap fans wanted some big signings this
season bit there really is no reason to create a mish-mosh of older and
younger players with the latter being for the most part a big unknown. Give
the Caps two seasons to evaluate what they have, what they need, and then go
after some names. Two to Three years at the most though. I wouldn't want to
retard the development of AO with a very long and drawn out rebuild.

Hey, I'd still post here if there was any activity. As it is, the very
few times when there is a new article here, it's just someone wondering
why there's such little activity.

I am very surprised at the Pens and their "spending spree" per se. They do
not have one player taking a large amount of salary but appear to be well
over the Min. Salary cap already. That being said, it is going to be weird
to see all of these players on different teams (not the Caps, they have most
of their team back). Palffy and Gonchar on the Pens? WEIRD...lol.

I think most Caps fans expected no big signings since the owner warned that
he was going that course.

There has not been many reasons due to entire season being wiped out.
My guess is that there will be more activities when the season starts.

Hard to over come the fact that web based boards (Espn, Washingtoncaps.com)
are much easier for less computer literate folks to use. Usenet, overall,
is used very little compared to 5 years ago, IMO. Still a good place for
technical support.

Caps signing Petr Sykora is something of note...they are turning into a
young team that could show give fans some exciting times this year.

Yep, we'll be excited to see where in the top 5 we'll be drafting for the
2006-2007 season :-)

I like Kolzig. However, I thought he was the one piece that the
Capitals could have traded and get something. Two Maximes may turn
into something then. Now, Kolzig will play almost everyday again. I
guess they can still trade him.
