| Both should be suspended for game 3. Osgood, for sticking the butt of his
stick in Ribeiro's chest while Ribeiro was skating full skate after the
buzzer, and Riberiro for retaliating with his stick.

Must have missed Osgood's stick butt, along with CBC. They missed it, too.
And they spent a very good long time in discussion about it. >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |

Osgood should have gotten an interference penalty, as what he really
did was obstruct Ribeiro during play.
Ribeiro is facing a possible suspension because he not only swung his
stick (which is, in the eyes of the league, much worse than holding
your stick out for someone to run into), but he did it after the horn.
You do it while the clock's between 19:59 and 00:01 and you're always
in much better shape than if the clock reads 20:00 or 00:00. >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |

Verses caught it. And were very fair about it. Osgood had no business
sticking that butt end out there after the whistle. Ribeiro was wrong to
swing his stick and prolly should get a suspension, but Osgood had no
business doing what he did. >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |

fine... we shall see. >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |

I missed it- out on the patio planting-just saw the Ribeiro slash and only
on replay- no Osgood butt. Obviously CBC considers his butt a non-issue.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Ribeiro gets a game. In light of it
being retalitory seems stupid. But when has the NHL ever been smart? >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |

Well, Osgood said in after-game interviews that he was just trying to keep a
hard hit from happening, but it was pretty deliberate and kind of a "I am
not looking while I lift the butt of my stick into him" thing. With that
said... Osgood got hit in the pads and played it pretty well. I think after
calming down.. a fine for both is suitable. >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |

With that said.. this may be just was the Stars need.. some kind of wake up
call to play better against a top team... not that they didnt play better
tonite. >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |

So......They needed a guy to apply a 2 hander to the upper body of his
opponent and take a probable suspension to get their team fired up? Ok!

I under the "still time on the clock" thing but come on....running a guy

I'm exaggerating, because I think it was such a mindlessly stupid
thing to do. Not because of the foul itself.

Why would SJ be a better matchup - I think Dallas is a much better skating
team - SJ I do believe has a better goaltender -never really impressed with
turco. Other than that they are just a lumbering east conf. team really and
the wings would skate round them like dallas did. I do not think Wilson is
that great of a coach ........ >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |

Ya know I do not recall how many games that clown got. It will be
interesting what Dallas tried to do tomorrow. Hell they can not pass/skate
with the wings so it is that lame-o physical game nonsense - that never
works. Only reason the ducks won last year is we were missing two or our
top 4 defenseman and no second line. Ozzy move was minor. I am going to
have to watch TIVO of the end of the game. I missed the game last night and
all I saw was sportcenter very late last night... >> Stay informed about: Ribeiro and Osgood |
