Basically Risebrough said they did their thing last year, and this year
they were not going to be real active. Just as I thought. This is a
pure money saving venture. They pacify fans by getting to the playoffs
and then getting blown out in the first round, and have basically
lowered fans expectations to even get to the playoffs. This Wild
organization is well run financially, but for fans who want to see the
Wild win a cup....IT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN UNDER CURRENT OWNERSHIP.
Naegele and Risebrough must think all Minnesotan are idiots. I predict
their 2007-2008 team salary will be in the bottom third when their
revenue will be in the top third....probably much higher. I just hope
the fans finally rebel when the team struggles again in the playoffs or
even misses them altogether. I love the Wild, but I and most fans have
higher expectation than getting blown out in the first round of the
playoffs.
