Simple question - is a goalkeeper allowed to take a stroke anymore.

We've been told that a keeper can't cross the half way line is this true -
apparently its so keepers don't come up for penalty corners after full time
has been called?

Any one?

The relevant rule is:

"10.1 Goalkeepers must not take part in the match
outside the half of the field they are defending,
except when taking a penalty stroke."

So yes, they are allowed to take Penalty strokes, but otherwise may not
come out of their half.

Just a matter of interest, why aren't they allowed to cross the half way?? I
recently saw a very funny incident where a keeper actually did get sent off
for breaking this rule!! A few players almost followed him for complaining
so much as well!!

I think it is just to limit the advantage attacking teams have on short
corners after half/full time.
