You have to hope that the Devils lose most of their nine game road
trip, so that toward the end of the season when most of their games
are at home, they won't be playing for the President's Trophy.

Pride against the Islanders? Haven't you heard, the Rangers have to
"gel" first. It's TOO EARLY in the season for the Rangers to be
playing well. There's always the first couple of months in which the
team doesn't gel, and then has to go on a stupid run late in the
season to claw into the playoffs. Probably won't need to worry about
that this year, though, seeing as they have to play their last 12
games against division opponents (that is, no Southeast teams for free
points).

The Rangers will coax gritty players like Claude Lemieux and Tony Twist
out of retirement at the deadline, and after these guys score two goals
each in the first eight games and spear a goalie, they'll have a parade
down Vanderbilt Ave for them.

He's only coming if the Rangers also sign Gino Odjick.

I don't think this thing should end until someone makes T-shirts and
bumper stickers and starts selling them on the internet or in the
streets.

Like that "Frodo Lives" bullshit.

"Don't Trade Cullen," or "Where's Cullen!?" or Cullen's face, crying,
on a shirt with the #5 hanging from the MSG rafters with the phrase
"5ever" screened on the bottom. You could make hundreds of dollars.
Hundreds, I tell you. It won't make up the money you will lose,
though.

Signed,

I heard he has been eyeing the Hudson enviably while playing against the
Devils.

Yah, I remember reading this autobiography by one of the best Soviet
spies who later defected to Britain. This guy was working for the GRU
and only two things made him skeptical about his co-spies:

1. Those that lacked humor

2. And those that eyed across the Hudson enviably.

Really? WTF?! I can't find anything on the net, even went to the native
Russian sites and even they don't have anything but the usual "Cullen is
the next one" press.

What's up?

Every time somebody says something about Cullen, a kitten cries. Don't
make kittens cry!
