I was watching the game tonight and after Lehtinen's goal I got to thinking:
When there's a delayed penalty and the goalie goes to the bench and one team
gets an extra attacker, if that team scores before play is stopped and the
actual powerplay begins, is it considered a powerplay goal or even-strength?

BTW, the Stars are looking very solid as of late. It was a well earned win
tonight.

Well, the defense has looked solid for a couple of weeks now. Offense still
seems weak; that debacle in Florida two games ago really frosted my
shorts...lots of shots, but all from the outside with no one crashing the
middle. Long unscreened shots from outside with no one there for the
rebound don't get me excited. Obviously better tonight...as much as it is a
team game, it really is up to a few guys who make the bucks to step up and
play like they're suposed to. Lehtinen did it tonight, Modano meanwhile has
been stealing money this year.

Even though there is an extra attacker, it is not officially a "power play";
therefore, a "even strength" goal on the scoresheet.

Even-strength, because each team has six players on the ice.
