Just watching the Anaheim/Detroit series so far I've noticed that Ottawa
will be in for a much tougher test versus Detroit than facing Anaheim - if
we get past Buffalo!

Detroit loves to spread things out - moves quickly - keeps the gap between
offence and defence very tight - and their favourite play is a backdoor play
of throwing the puck cross-crease to a streaking-in winger or D-man. So far
in Game 3 they've tried this trick 4 times and found success once with two
others VERY close! This presents a real threat if Ottawa's defence doesn't
keep in position and the wingers and centre don't come back and watch the
corners of the net & stay with their assigned defencive responsibilities.

Anaheim's defence looks weak, even with Pronger and Niedermeyer in there.
After that line - the defencive threat drops off quite a bit! Can't say the
same thing about Ottawa - when Redden and Meszaros are actually on their
game. Offencively - they are showing a lot tonight that they've not shown
the past two games and not really much in their other series that I've
watched against Vancouver and Anaheim. Selanne has been a no-show until
tonight, making a beautiful play on the 2nd goal to get a pass off. And
Giguere is SLOW going from post-to-post! This could be a great reason why
the Wings are using this backdoor cross-crease play - but not sure since
I've not watched the Wings enough in their other playoff games to see if
this is a new wrinkle or not.

For an easier time - Anaheim. For a real test - a hard-fought series - and
maybe some retribution, Detroit.

"We?" What position do you play? Or do consider yourself part of
the team because you subscribe to cable?

You are truly a pathetic little no-lifer, seeking to live
vicariously through a hockey team. But you lack the skills and the
balls to play hockey at any kind of organized level. So what gives
you the right to include yourself amongst those who have earned the
right to call themselves NHL Hockey players?

cordially, as always,

I don't agree. I always refer myself as WE even if I'm not on the
team. I think all fans are part of the team because it's your team...
Hey if you don't think so it's probably because you don't beleive in
your team... I do...
Go Sens GO

Actually, it's not your team because you are neither a player, nor
the owner.

We like the Leafs and we cheer for the Leafs but that hardly makes
them "our" team anymore than Toyota is "our" company, simply because
we drive one of their cars.

"We"? Who's in this we other than yourself? Do you actually have
permission to talk about the others you refer to as "we"? Or are you
mentally ill and have multiple personalities or something? Time to check
your medication, Roger Maynard?

So it's Maynard this time, is it? Last time it was "Manyard" and
before that it was "Matthews." Where do you guys get this stuff?

The name is Margarino. Realto Margarino. Is that too "European"
for some of you?
