Why does Silicon Valley hate America?

Bruins win in San Jose with 12 seconds to go. Aboot a half a minute
after San Jose tied it at 1-1.

One of the Rangers Matt Cullen used to admire, Aaron Ward, notched it.

But I thought was was most interesting was Ron Wilson's comment:

"It's the home opener with all the pomp and circumstance that go with
it," Sharks coach Ron Wilson said. "You get all fired up and then it's
not there. We don't even get the national anthem. We just go out and
play. It was weird."

A hockey game with no national anthem. I will be alerting the
Department of Homeland Security.

They had a power failure at the arena. Seriously, in the middle of the
pre-game skate, *all* the lights went out. It took over half an hour to
restore power, enough that they could play. For almost the first period,
there was no loud arena music, no PA, and no epilepsy-inducing flashing
scoreboard.
