As per Sports Illustrated. Very nice article.

Nice article, thanks for posting that.

Hard to believe that a team like Detroit has a hard time drawing fans.
Then again, I've been to downtown Detroit for Twins games, and I
know what a hellhole it is, so I guess I can understand why so many
people stay away from it.

So, can we officially put "Hockeytown" on the ice at the Xcel,
or have the Wings already trademarked that misnomer for them? ;-)

I'd have no problem with that...as long as we get "The State of Pro Hockey"
trademarked in Texas. ;-)

When Texas turns out pro hockey players in excess of what Minnesota
does, we will turn over the crown. Until then, there is only one State
of Hockey....the state that turns out the best players in the league.
And no....Minnesota is not part of Canada ;)

You betcha. ;-) (Meanwhile, my reference is to having more pro teams in
state than does all of Canada...but the juniors from Texas will start popping
up in the NHL in the next few years...not bad for a state with seven-month
summers in some of the parts I live in. ;-)
