I like the Tanguay deal, good trade for Bob. Sundin is not so certain,
even though he's been cleared to talk with the Habs. He might be just
shopping around to see what he's worth to the Leafs.

I read on RDS that Saku has been talking to Teemu about coming to
Montreal. I would consider that as a more possible outcome. I'm sure
he's still got a lot of goals left and he's be a lot cheaper too.

Promising developments so far. Makes me wish the season wasn't still 4
months away.

I've given up on Selanne. We've suggested it for years, and one would
suspect Koivu has tried to convince him before. Bt last season Selanne's
heart wasn't even in putting in a full season for his Stanley Cup winning
team. I doubt he's willing to move to chilly Montreal. I suspect
retirement.

Love to be wrong though.

Selanne's agent was on the NHL Network today, said that he doesn't
think Selanne would ever go anywhere except back to Anaheim. That or
retire.

Which is fine, I don't have a lot of faith that Selanne has much left
to offer anyway.

His agent should get paid extra for the number of times he's had to
repeat the words "Anaheim or retirement".
And you know if an agent, who is a commissioned pimp, is telling the
world things that tempers the the worth of his client-whore, it's
true.

I think tha Teemu does not know himselfwhat he wants at the moment.
During a junior hockey School in Finland he was discussing with the new
GM of his old team Jokerit, Keijo Säilynoja, who is a junior time friend
of Teemu and played left wing in Teemu's line (they were in a way like
LaLfeur and Shutt, Teemu got the press and Keijo the garbage goals.
Keijo told the media, that Teemu could come back to play for the
Jokerit.

I do not believe that Teemu will come to Montreal for the whole season,
but I could imagine that he would come to play winger for Saku, if he is
not signed with the Ducks then and it would look like the Canadiens are
one sniper short of the cup.

By the way, Matts Sundin would make an exellent winger, he played winger
before he was converted to center in Quebec. In team Sweden he played
wing for Peter Forsberg. I believe he has some respect to Saku, he
cannot forget that Saku has in the international hockey shown that he is
a first class center and playmaker.
