I was listening to a Toronto guy on sportsnet and he was saying he
couldn't wait to see Wellwood and Sundin together. They apparently
had great chemistry.

He said Sundin playing left wing, played some of his best hockey
with Wellwood.

Of course V wouldn't know that, or bother to find out.

This recent lie really bothered me because it's become sop for the league
and the especially the Canucks this year for the first time in their history.
The leagues upper body / lower body is bs. But the Canucks have taken
it to a new level. Flat out lying, oh he went home because he had a virus,
oh Luongo left the ice cause he felt a little soreness, oh I haven't even
thought who Sundin might play with..........

They simply don't give a poop about the fans and feel perfectly
comfortable lying to them.

I agree, on a larger level. I guess the V thing didn't bother me, because it
HAS become SOP for the league, and so I expect it. I guess I'm
disillusioned, and have no hope that things will return to the good ol'
days. Doesn't make it right though.

Ok, let me rephrase - I don't think he was trying to to deliberately mislead
anyone, or hide anything. Rather, I think he was just being dismissive of
the question.

sundin - would be good here.

It just occurred to me, re Sundin............... - Just as an owner can grant other teams permission to talk to a GM they might be interested in getting, a GM can do the same for his coaching staff or players. So if Fletcher had an offer he liked, he could let them talk to Sundin and make their pitch. ....

sundin sign yet? - no? as u were then...

So Sundin is toast....... - ....... then what ? Trade is the only answer but I can't see a single 1st or second line center who could be got. Sundin doesn't come, we're hooped. The only hope would be if someone could come out of the woodwork, Wellwood, Raymond, the farm, and..

SUNDIN SIGNS - http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=NewsPage&articleid=334648 To bad that was last year. If August 1st comes and he hums and haws he can go F**K himself !
