Don't get up, please.
Been lurking for a while, and now that the exams are over and I am ABD
it's time to get back to the group.
These are some random thoughts.
Anyone have an update on Marty?
Scott C. wow!
Devils offense, double wow!
Mattau= Solid D man.
Salvadore isn't worth the money he's being paid, he is bad luck I
swear to God. Dump his ass already. Give Andy Green his spot.
Zajac is paying off like I thought he would and is better than Zubrus.
Zubrus costs too much.
We need an offensive D man to go along with the newer offensive
Devils. Paul Martin's projected 5 goals and Oduya's projected 7 isn't
going to do it. Neither have turned into another Neidermayer, although
Oduya reminds me of him sometimes. By the way in the NHL 2009 game
Oduya is as black as Wesley Snipes. What's up with that?
What's up with Pando and Madden? Madden a -8? what the hell?
Do you guys think Clarkson is paying off like we had hoped? I'm not
sure. Were we hoping for more than 15 goals a year?
Nice to see Holik and Rolston back in Devils jerseys. I'm hoping they
pay off, and I think Rolston will get stronger. It's weird to see
Holik and Madden on the same team. Do we need both?
Brookbank is not as bad as this group thinks he is, and he is better
than Salvador.
Any thoughts on players who will be up for trades?
Got my tickets for the Nashville game last night and will be raising
hell on the 19th!
Sorry this is so scattered.

Good to see you Swan. :) I figured when Marty went down, this season
was going down too - but Mr. Clemmensen has held the fort - surprise
surprise. Is Kevin Weekes going to see another game - maybe this mini
road trip out west and if he's Mr. Fat Rebound and Sieve, he's toast.
I'm going to disagree with you on Salvador. He's the closest thing we
have these days to Dano/Stevens. An effective defensive dman. Yeah,
he had some tough luck on a bad clear and his stick doing an own goal
a couple weeks back but otherwise he's been one of the steadier
guys. Now that said, it sounds like his upper body injury is very
upper body - perhaps a concussion from that time his face stopped a
shot.
I think the jury is still out on Greene.
Yours is the majority opinion on Holik. He was dead to me when he
became a Ranger - and I'm still waiting for that moment in a tight
game when he takes an ill-timed penalty. (He took several against the
Rangers in the last Rock game but our team scored a couple of shorties
- so it was overlooked) Anyway, we have a Captain that can do ill-
timed penalties... so I can't hold Bobby to a different standard. So
far Holik certainly has done his job.
Anyway, hang out some Swan. Rog is on self-imposed exile and Mike's
semi-retired.... so we're not quite as robust as we used to be - but
on the brighter side The Viceroy will be cranking up the Blatherometer
to keep the thread's cookin'. >> Stay informed about: Swan's Annual Devils State of the Union Address |
