640 hit on that - right now is the operative; and that's where Watters
puts them as well. Add to that the last stretch of 10 games; Watters
said they needed 14, pulled in 10, and as of 6 p.m. they were 8 behind
Montreal instead of 4 - the goose-cooked light was either on or
flickering. >> Stay informed about: TSN's power ranking |

Starting?
Sportsnet ran a poll today and the voting was 89% in favour of
writing the season off.
It has been a frustrating year to watch the Leafs. 3rd year of
flopping, everyone but O'Neil back. Another gouge trade for another
goalie. A phantom 'system' and a shuffle that made the PQuinn years
look simple.

Unfortunately, sports doesn't owe its fans anything. Otherwise the
Cubs would have a World Series and the Leafs would have a Cup.
The tilt of things gone wrong to things done right is so tilted, it's
hard to even sort out 'the one' or the 'the five' isn't it? >> Stay informed about: TSN's power ranking |

This shitty team is finally starting to get to me. The Leafs are one of,
if not the flagship franchise in the league. We as fans should get
regular final four finishes in the playoffs. What those ultra-maroons in
the corner offices have done is a complete disgrace. >> Stay informed about: TSN's power ranking |

There's some symmetry - watching the Blackhawks improvement and
competition against Montreal last night hinted at the diff ownership
could mean. Seeing Boudreau behind the bench tonight (and having no
explanation for the run they're on), hints at the diff coaching can
mean.
Great line by Milbury tonight - "Peddie should be selling popcorn." >> Stay informed about: TSN's power ranking |

He doesn't have to - He posted 'regularly', not 'every year'. There
is no justification for the rest of your post ... altho it does have

What makes you think that Toronto fans and the Leafs deserve a final four
appearance every year? We Habs fans don't expect it, and if anyone we
should feel that way. That's the Leaf fan "arrogance" that gets to the rest
of us hockey fans all the time.
The Leafs are currently paying for all the youth traded away to get shots at
the Cup in the early 2000's, as should be expected. The calls for JFJ's
head are IMHO justified, because he's still trading youth/draft picks for a
quick fix to just reach the playoffs, and not to make a serious run at the
Cup. He should be focussing on rebuilding.
EVERY team has upswings and downswings, how on earth can you justify that
statement?

You too huh? Looks like owl's ignore-the-content-focus-on-the-insignificant
disease is spreading.
Define regular, then. The Leafs have been to the final four 4 times since
1993, that's better than a 25% rate. By direct division they (and all other
teams) should average a trip to the final four every 7-1/2 years (grade 10
statistics), which is 13.3%. So they are doing WAY above average in that
regard.
Now you were complaining that they should, by no other reason than the fact
they play in Toronto, get to the final four more "regularly", what exactly
would you call "regular" then? Every other year? Every two of three years?
Once every three years? No matter which case you choose, the statement is
still arrogant and my point, which you and owl completely disregarded, is
valid.
Justify your statement. I don't think you can.

WOW. You just keep proving my point, doofus.
Lemme help.
2007-1993 = 14 years (+1 inclusive, so 15 years)
4/15 = 26.67%, 26.67% > 25%
4/30 = 1/7.5 = 13.33%, 26.67>>13.33
Enjoy grade 4.

Yeah Habs fans aren't arrogant at all. If a French player chooses to
sign with a team other than Montreal they boo him for the rest of his
career just because their feelings have been hurt. How mature is
