I checked out his numbers and have trouble figuring out why you're making
this assessment. Her missed 1 game last season, 3 games the season
before. He had played at least 76 games in 5 of 7 seasons. The most he
ever missed was 13.
A seperated should from getting hammered by a fast skating 250 pound
monster...I don't think a guy has to be too fragile for that to happen.
Anyway, I think we're passing the point of a "normal" amount of injuries
and passing to a point of being hard luck/injury-riddled. When we speak
of Higgins, Koivu and Tanguay being out, we speak of 3 guys that could
make many team's #1 line. Throw in an injury to our #2 or #3 d-man, and a
stretch for our #1 goalie and I'd say this team has suffered a high
amount of injuries to key players. The plus side is none of the injuries
are super-serious 2-4 monthes or more type injuries. If the Habs can
avoid a tailspin until bodies start to return, I'd say that's a great
testament to the team depth.
