I've checked out Theo's stats intricately. I've also realized that he didn't
likely forget how to be a top echelon goaltender. I'd far prefer to look at
his career than JUST this season and I've also noted him to be a very
effective playoff performer for a usually overmatched Montreal team. .921
career playoffs!
Theodores trouble right now is possibly local distraction, (mob thing, fans
getting on him, french chicks by the dozen, its a wonder he gets any sleep
at night.) With Tommys wife long gone he should fit in quite well here <G>
Maybe even give Prongers wife something to do....j/k
back to being a bit serious look at the last 10 games:
-2 tough games against Carolina but they've been torching goalies all year
- trouble against Penguins(they score in bunches) Calgary(they've gotten to
our present goalies too) and Vancouver.(pretty hopless game by the habs) but
if he's so uniformly bad how about absolutely stealing games against Dallas
and San Jose recently?
Theodores been streaky, but when the mood moves him he's still got it. He
was great agaisnt Dallas and SanJose and yes he's still got it. just needs
to bring it more regualarly and a change of scenery often motivates.
Its actually great for us that Theodore is having a funky year as its the
ONLY way he'd be available.
Theodore addresses a specific need on this club way more than the undrafted
Bergeron who is momentarily overrated. Sell high. Buy low. Deal is perfect
for us, would be awful for Montreal. Even better is we also get rid of
useless who should actually have negative trade value other than the
francophone name ;)
