NY Rangers website lists top plus/minus player for 06-07 season was ...
Marek Malik??? How the hell is that possible? Is it simply that he played
most often with the top scoring line. Hopefully those in charge will look
beyond the stat ... PLEASE?

It's called the "Marek Malik paradox". Pick up an astrophysics book
to read all about it.

+/- can be misleading and here's the perfect example.

Over the past 4 seasons with 2 different teams he is +118. For his career he
is +129 in 607 games. He once won the +/- award with the Nucks. I also
believe that all three teams he has been on, the fans really wanted him to
sign somewhere else or be traded. He is underappreciated in his time.
Someday people will realize the beauty in his ability to pull +'s out of his
ass.
