A buddy and I are flying out for the World Poker Tour's North American
championship event, which is held October 10th to 16th in Niagara Falls.
Our timing is fortuitous, as the Canucks are on the road in Detroit on
the 16th and Buffalo on the 17th. We'll be renting a car and hitting up
both games. All told, we'll be in and around Niagara Falls for 11 days,
planning to take a trip to TCOTU as well as the Buffalo and Detroit stops.
So, newsgroup that knows everything -- things to do in Toronto, Buffalo,
Detroit (other than dodge bullets) and Niagara Falls? Hockey Hall of
Fame obv, but what else? >> Stay informed about: Things to do in TCOTU and environs |

Casa Loma's kind of cool.
The ROM Royal Ontario Museum. (The nearby art gallery is, unfortunately,
closed for renovations.)
Kensington for ambiance.
CN tower on a nice day.
The Science Centre at Ontario Place to feel like a kid.
Walk around the waterfront - some interesting artsy stuff around the quays.
Be there myself around the same time and am also think of the Buffalo game. >> Stay informed about: Things to do in TCOTU and environs |

You seem particularly unlikely to have had fond memories of CBC
children's shows, but the (tiny) museum in the lobby of the CBC building
did give my wife a chance to see the bit of wall from the Friendly Giant
where Rusty the Rooster poked his head through, and Mr. Dressup's tickle
trunk.
Global Cheese in Kensington market has, um, a lot of cheese.
