The Rangers are the team that's supposed to mail it in for 60 minutes.

It's so odd being on the positive side of a game like this. I don't
know if I should be ecstatic or relieved.

Too bad for Valiquette, just missing the shutout. Probably not the
best idea to leave Colton Orr back as the lone defender.

Weird things tonight:
1. 4th line scored a goal... an important goal in fact. 5 on 5, in
fact.
2. Petr Prucha not only scored more than 0 goals, he scored more than
1 goal.
3. Colton Orr won a fight.
4. Sean Avery played a better game than every Maple Leaf, and was
still only the 3rd or 4th best player in the game.

Jesus, they win big time, play a great game, and it's all crickets in here.

Oh, and one more thing. Anyone remember the big speech Don Cherry
made in the intermission of the first Rangers/Leafs game in Toronto?
Tucker and Avery got in a fight, and Cherry said it that it was
obviously what Avery wanted, since he gets the Leafs "best" player off
the ice for 5 minutes.

Darcy Tucker: 8 points in 30 games, -2 rating
Sean Avery: 9 points in 16 games, even rating

Anyone want to take a poll on which player is more important for his
team?

Yeah I thought there would have been more of these easy ones for the Rangers
this year by now but i'll take it. No need to be ecstatic but it has been 3
solid efforts in a row, I think they played well in the loss to Ottawa too.
Maybe Pruchas trade value went up, but they better get a scorer in return,
we need more goals not more Holwegs.

BTW it is OK to give the Rangers credit from time to time, maybe the Rangers
made Toronto look like they "mailed it in", after all Toronto just isn't a
good team.

FS: 2 tix to 10/27 vs Toronto - 2 seats in section 309. Face value. $49 each. Great seats right on the redline. These are my season tickets. I'm heading out of town for the week so would like to sell these tonight. I can accept Paypal and email the tix direct from the Rangers web site...

Anaheim in 6, Ottawa in 6 - And the Ducks take home the Cup.

How was that any different.... - How was that waved-off goal in Buffalo any different than the one in game 1 against the Rangers? Why did that one count, and this one didn't? By the way, VS. is absolutely terrible. Joe Beninati? Why don't they just get Rick Jeanerette or some other....

Scary good - More "scary" than "good".

Teeeeee-mu Selanne! - And Hockey Town is stunned. Woooo-Hooo!!
