| Where the hell was Tucker the past two nights, anyway? He looks
disinterested. Must be the contract. You'd figure that when Neil went after
Kaberle, or Fisher started running guys that Tucker would be the first guy
in there sticking up for the team. Instead, he just kept taking hits, never
gave any back, and spent zero time in the slot mucking things up in front of
the net. Piss-poor effort, IMO.

Yep, pretty brutal. Throw that in with his usual poor defensive play and he
was a waste of a jersey out there the past two nights...
Speaking of wastes, the Leafs powerplay looks like a Chinese fire drill.
Kaberle looks terrible, Mats looks like he is fighting the puck, and again,
Tucker has been invisible in front or even off to the side. If not for the
way Blake and esp. Antropov, have been playing, I'd say the Leafs should
just decline the penalties at this point. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

Banging opponents into their backboards and setting up on the right
side for the shovel goals. As always. His passing was actually above
his usual, and he got nakeded a few times defensively (nothing unusual
there).
> He looks disinterested. Must be the contract.
Nope. He played his position and got ragged around a few times, but
he sure didn't look disinterested from here. It was only a few fanned
shots, broken sticks, and good saves, that kept him Poni and Kilger
from clicking.

Actually it was Newberry who could have danced with Neil and
declined. I don't remember Tucker every wasting his knuckle skin on
Neil.

Okay, looks like a wide-screen TV might let you see the rest of the
rink. Tucker's results weren't for lack of effort, but the PP didn't
zoom-zoom and his line fanned on some stuff. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

How long is he supposed to be the only guy on the team with any gonads?
When does anyone ever stick up for Darcy when he continually gets
cheap shotted, even though he's always the first one in to defend a
teammate. Can't say I blame him one bit. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

No need for a wide screen. You might want to check your glasses though, S.
Methinks the blue-ray player is casting a hue on em. You'll not find too
many folks hoo saw Tucker play the way you saw Tucker play. He put up
fourth line effort on my Rogers box. It wasn't as HD as the overhead cam,
but the sound certainly picked up on the lack of #16 board-boom. It only
heard the receiving end of the checks. I thought Tucker stood out like a
sour thumb on a team of overachieving troopers. Maybe the workboots on
everyone else obscured Tucker's usual hard-working game, but he looked slow
out there to me. Hope Maurice has the Red Bull handy for the Habs game,
he'll need the wings to get over Huet's weak glove. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

Come on, seriously, Tucker? You're going to focus on Tucker? Did you
watch Kaberle and McCabe so far? On a team that played pretty well
against Ottawa, Tucker was just mediocre or disappointing at worst.
I.e.: he wasn't the story (in my opinion). And on the toughness
aspect, he gets a pass from me for about the rest of his career. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

Why not focus on Tucker? Kaberle and McCabe are playing like they always
play. Tucker didn't. I expect much more from him. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

Really? I think Kabs has been noticeably not himself so far this year
(including in the pre-season games). He's had trouble carrying the puck
up ice, has been making very unKaberle like panicky passes, especially
on the PP and has taken to horrible lob wrist shots directly into the
crest of the opposing goalie's jersey. Just awful. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

I thought Kabs did better than any other Leaf getting that puck through the
NZ. Sens line em up along the blue-line, which hurts Kabs game crossing the
line, but he still made a few Sens look stupid trying to play the puck on
him.
What about Woz? Cripes, who knew? Kid's got skills. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

I rewound the game (no joke) 5 times to watch him fill Neil in on the
boards. And really, like you said, was he that good last year before he
got hurt? >> Stay informed about: Tucker |

He's faster, and leaner, IMO. Obviously done some off season conditioning. >> Stay informed about: Tucker |
