If you've never seen this before and don't know what this is, keep watching.
It's not a Messier tribute video.

I remember the image of Mike Modano out-cold sliding across the ice
like he was dead. I had completely forgotten is was one of Messier's
specials, however, and can't seem to remember what year this was.

Obviously before Dallas started wearing those dumb "all-star" jerseys.

Signed,
Verification now? I guess that's one way to do it.

I don't remember what year it was either, but I remember watching this game.
And laughing hysterically. That whole sequence with the EMS dumping the
stretcher, while Sam Rosen was watching it on a monitor, is WWE-like.

Did they show the part where the ambulance attendents dropped Modano,
as he was strapped into the gurney?

I was thinking 1994-ish.
Found this on a google news archive search from 1993-95.

published 3/12/1994
Mike Modano paid no attention. He was alone, a solitary figure on the
frozen ... a concussion when checked hard by New York Ranger Mark
Messier on Feb. 26. ...
