| We just drafted a kid out of the OHL that had 5 goals in 3 seasons in
junior. Now, he did score 6 in the last playoffs, but, um, yeah...
Kory Nagy, Ottawa Ken, you know anything about this kid? Is this Tony
Romano/Tulupov part II?

Tulupov wasn't re-drafted. I had a feeling they might Dagenais him
again and use up a 6th or a 7th. Guess not, now he's likely never
going to play in North America. Whatever, another waste of a pick
from a few years ago.
I don't think anyone outside of David Conte and Nagy's parents know
who this person is. What I think happened was Lou and David were
driving around Ontario one day and their car ran out of gas. Mr. and
Mrs. Nagy came by and drove them to a gas station. As a thank you
note, they drafted their son. Makes about as much sense as anything
else.

Looks like Cormier is another Travis Zajac type.
I guess the first three picks have a shot, but the rest of it looks
like more to add to the defensive forward swarm.

Yeah, we spent a 3 on someone who was dumb enough to go back into the draft
and not get drafted.
This kid, supposedly has upside, but well, I don't see how he could be less
productive, other than the last OHL playoff.
At least the Swedish munchkin and the defenseman they drafted in the second
round look like they can be NHL players. >> Stay informed about: Weird draft pick. |

He's a sparkplug, relentless work ethic, penalty killer. Don't let the
stats dictate his potential. He's ready for the AHL, but I'd go 50/50 on
him making a real NHL shot. >> Stay informed about: Weird draft pick. |
