The Wild played probably the best 2 periods they have played all year in the
first and second periods. Too bad they lost intensity in the 3rd. And
Johnsson / Skoula.......please retire. The Wild stepped up big time
tonight, but Johnsson and Skoula failed to pick up the pace. The Wild just
ran out of gas in this one.

Yes, they played great and got a point against Detroit. Not too
shabby at all.

Man, that final goal in OT was a killer. I guess that is why Rolston
does not play defense. I think the 2nd goal Backstrom gave up was a
soft one. The Wild should have won the game in regulation.

The Wild played a great game against the Wings. And yes, they
should have won that one in regulation.

Should be interesting to see if the momentum carries over to the
Thursday game against the Stars.

If Lemaire can get the team motivated like they were in periods 1 and 2

I hope so. They have been doing a good job of hanging on to that
division lead and 3rd place in the conference for a while now, and
they need to keep that up heading into these final two months of
the season.

Their schedule doesn't look too tough the rest of the way, so it is
entirely doable for the Wild, IMO.

Go Wild!!!

Are you still in denial that the Wild have a decent team this season?

Absolutely not. Maybe that is because I slept at a Holiday Inn last
night. Or that Macy's is letting go 950 employees, but either way, the
Wild are playing well but I don't have enough conviction that they will
be a number 3 (ie division champs) seed.

They have a better shot at being the division champs than the
Timberwolves do of getting a #1 pick via the lottery, IMO. ;-)

It almost sounds like you WANT the Wild to fold....then it will
give you more to complain about. Which is what you do best,
after all.

Wow, you two should just get a room. One thinks the Wild are going to be a
lock for the Stanley Cup and the other thinks the Wild won't even make the
playoffs. Exaggerations aside, I just don't see why one persons opinion is
better than anothers. I know golfox's hockey background and he does have
alot of hockey knowledge, and yes, he would be more of a pessimist than an
optimist, but what quailifies you to have a more appropriate opinion?

His opinions are fine, and more than welcome.

His constant bitching, complaining, and trashing on the Wild
gets old real fast, though. Especially this season, when the
Wild have more than held their own in the conference so far.

He wrote them off at the beginning of the season, and he just
won't admit he was wrong, or that the Wild are actually a
pretty damn good team this season...a fact that most Wild
fans know already.

And who just posted that something about the Wild's 2 best periods. His
posting seems balanced...good and bad. I think you only want to post good.
You were probably upset when the fans were booing Skoula. This is all part
of being a fan. And I agree, I was only able to catch the first period, but
that was a great period. I am surprised the were outshot so badly in the
3rd.

Perhaps you have just become intolerant of his postings, no matter the
content.
