The coaches said today they have to come out strong,
the players say the same thing. Then they get outshot
10-4 in the first period (again). What the heck is
the matter with them. It's all about saying the right
thing whether you can do it or not, or even if you
have no intention of doing it.

Flames never make it easy on themselves. It will come down to the last game
on Sunday...

That's for sure. The chances of winning in San Jose are slim and none,
that leaves the Oil as our last hope/home game to clinch, but as
useless as they are I'm sure they'd love to revenge Calgary for
knocking them out two seasons ago.

And so we'll have to play all the regulars for the rest of the season
instead of giving some a night off, including Kipper. So Noodles
probably won't get anymore practice time either.

Stupid idiots!

I could only hope. Even if they lose to San Jose on Thursday and the Avs
beat Vancouver, I seriously doubt the Flames will lose to the Oil. Great
late season run by the Avs, but the other teams in the NW ahead of them just
refused to cool off.

New NHL format and schedule ? - I know plans to revamp the schedule were scuppered last year, but I think it is long overdue. Here's my 2 cents: Add two expansion teams to bring the league up to 32 (means 50 % of teams make playoffs). Align into 4 divisions (North, West, South,..

Well the pre-season is over... - What a disaster it turned out to be. I would have expected a couple more wins with the line-ups that played each game. We can only hope that the regular season starts off a bit better... ;)
