Avs sign one of the Wings' best "prospects" - Avs signed Matt Hussey today. 5gp with the Wings last year. 3rd leading scorer of the Grand Rapids Griffins last year. Scored nearly 3x as many points last season as 06-07 NHL Hart Trophy finalist Evan McGrath. Avs also signed useless scrub..
Question for the group: Did Buffalo do the right thing? - Matching $7M+ per year offer for Vanek? Or should they have given him up and taken next 4 1st round draft picks? Chris

You mis-spelled 'rumours'.

Didn't you just post a new thread about the Avs signing three scrubs
in the Wings group?
Let me guess, the fact that one of them was Matt Hussey, a guy who
played all of about five games for the Wings, made it somehow
newsworthy to the group?

Yeah. Those weren't rumors.
Did you read what I just wrote?
If you want to come in here and post rumors that Forsberg is going to
sign with the Wings, that's fine (and those rumors are out there).
If you want to come in here and post that the Wings have signed a scrub
former-Avs player, that's fine.
But there's a difference between that and coming in here and posting
that the Wings are RUMORED to be signing a scrub player that had never
played for the Avs.

I'm not. I don't know about you.

The whole world is full of people who speak English as a second
language - in countries that are "relevant". >> Stay informed about: Wings After Sopel |

Well, the "whole world" isn't filled with relevant countries. There are
only four. There may be a fifth sometime in the next 20 years. We'll see
how they do.
Regardless, while some people in those other relevant countries may
speak some English as a second language, that does not make them
English-speaking countries.

No, there's five now, surely. I mean, I know Finland lags behind the other
four but their contribution must entitle them to be considered relevant.
Hey, I know some who would put them ahead of Sweden already!

Ah, rumors about an average/decent NHL defensman = bad
Signing scrub AHL'ers = good
Gotcha.

Is it really fine? Well, thank God somebody finally issued a ruling
on that matter. Take a breather everyone, the rules have been
codified.

It's basically the same group. Has been for the better part of a
decade.

I think we both know I used that in the context of "worthy of being
posted to a public forum." Unless, of course, you posted it by
accident.
