I guess reality has set back in. The Wild started out hot but have been
drilled back into reality. Their current win loss record probably will
be indicative of where they will finish the year, slightly better than
..500 and scrambling for a playoff spot. The upshot to all of this is
how quickly the young talent develop. Shepard and Pouliot hold the key
to the success of the Wild team as more than anything they need depth on
the roster. And finding a center (Koivu-looked good as predicted??) for
the Slovaks would surely help.

Geez, I go away for a few days and this is what you resort to?

Last time I checked, the Wild are still #1 in the division, and have a
couple big wins under their belts now...not too shabby, considering
the key injuries lately to Gaborik, Demitra and Backstrom. Personally,
I think Backstrom is the major impact loss. Harding is good as a
backup goalie for a one game rest for Backstrom, but he's obviously
not ready to carry the load for very long. Losing Gabby and Pavol
is huge, but the Wild proved last night they can still hold their own
on offense without them for a few games, IMO.

Lighten up on the Wild....so far they are having a very good season,
and are fighting through these injuries to stay competitive until they
are back to full strength again.

Hell, they have even been making up group rapidly for their PPG%,
with four PPG goals last night alone! I just got done watching the
game on Tivo this morning. Excellent game, especially by Parrish,
Koivu and Foster.

Having Backstrom back in the net the last couple games has also
been a key factor to the wins, IMO. I hope he can remain healthy now
for the majority of the season....the Wild obviously need him in the net.

Go Wild!!!

Gee, I guess the Wild were not winless in 5 straight games. Oh, I get
it, if someone posts the truth that you do not like, you have to rip
them. Typical democrat.

Oh come on. I was hardly "ripping you", and politics have nothing to
do with this hockey discussion.

I'm just saying, considering the injuries, the Wild have been hanging
in there. They had a GREAT start to the season, being the LAST
unbeaten team in the league, and have seemed to rebound back
nicely after their slump due to key injuries.

I just think you should lighten up on them a little, and quit bashing
them every opportunity you get. They are having a very good
season so far this year, IMO.
