Moose was at the debut in Toyota Center for the 10th anniversary season --
he's back home in Québec running a restaurant. (He can serve as a bouncer, if
need be. :-) What's Shank been doing? Last I saw of him, he'd been the head
coach of a CHL team that folded out from under him 50 games into the season,
if you remember the Border City (Texarkana) Bandits. He was the guy we loved
to hate whenever his team came to Houston -- one guy had a 24x36 sign: "SHUT
UP, SHANK!" that he'd bring without fail. He might have been a whiner at
times, but to be honest, he was the hardest-working skater on the ice when he
was out there. His only problem was that he expected his teammates to put out
the same effort, which didn't make him all that popular with his own team.
