a 5-2 loss against the Philadelphia Phantoms at the Wachovia Center as
they were swept, 4-games-to-0, in the Calder Cup Finals

WOLF TRACKS
--The Wolves? visit to the Finals was their fifth in eight years; the
team has posted a 3-2 mark in championship series.
--Chicago?s four losses in the Calder Cup Finals marked just the third
time in franchise history the team was swept in a playoff series; the
Wolves lost the 1995 Eastern Conference Quarterfinal, 3-games-to-0, and
the 2003 Western Conference Semifinal, 4-games-to-0.
--The four consecutive losses was just the second time the entire season
Chicago dropped four straight; the team also lost four games from Oct.
30 to Nov. 13 (0-3-0-1).
--The Finals loss marked the first time the team lost a series that
began at home; overall, the Wolves have posted a 15-1 record when
starting a series at the Allstate Arena.
--Chicago finished first in the league on defense, holding its rivals to
an average of just 1.78 goals per game; the team allowed a postseason-
high five goals in Game 4 ? the only time it allowed more than three
goals during the playoffs.
--The Wolves tied for fourth in the AHL with an average of 2.78 goals
per game after pacing the AHL with an average of 3.29 before the Finals.
IN THE LINE OF FIRE
Linemates Lonny Bohonos (2G, 8A), Tommi Santala (4G, 5A) and J.P. Vigier
(4G, 5A) combined for 28 points (10G, 18A) in nine road games; the trio
compiled just six points (3G, 3A) in nine home contests.
NOTABLE
Chicago finished second in the league on the penalty kill at 89.7
percent (96 of 107) after placing 14th in the AHL during the regular
season at 84.5 percent (394 of 466). The Wolves allowed five power-play
goals in the four-game Finals after holding their rivals to just six in
the previous 14 games, including the entire Western Conference Final
against the Manitoba Moose.
