....I'm not impressed with Nabokov either.

Hasek is just as good.

Lets discuss inept goaltenders - when you find your best was ranked around
18th in the league and your second option is a lump of $ 5.5 clay...how
exactly do you repair the disaster so next year you can at least be
competitive with the JV team from the School of the Blind.

The Wings were not playing very well.

It's only one game. Nabokov really played well though.

Great team defense by San Jose.

Was that due to San Jose's play?

Heh.

It's a single game. When I start changing my opinions every other day
and giving them expiration dates, we can form a club.

It definitely had a lot to do with it. More importantly, San Jose
jumped on Detroit during the first period, when the Wings weren't
playing well. It's not so much whether or not your opponent isn't
playing well, it's what you do to take advantage of it; and San Jose
certainly took advantage of it.

After that, the Wings controlled play, Nabokov played very well, and
San Jose blocked about 15 million shots.

It appears SJ watched the films of Det-Calgary series and found they
could stifle Det's offense by putting 2 guys on the puck carrier.
Calgary did this sporadically, and it worked well, they just didn't do
it all the time. SJ did a great job of this, which is why the Lang line
was so impotent last night.

That, or Detroit just didn't show up. Heh.

Hey gomer - here is an arguement that we can grind on..

Who exposed his hockey-savy moment of clarity with this gem...
"But because I don't buy into the ridiculous notion that Theodore is
garbage, I am attacked and/or ignored."
Awww did-em get his feelings hurt? Now a second hint.....for every post
from this clown we can use this universal reply that btw has been used many
times by others...
"These issues are like abortion: everyone already knows all the arguments
on both sides, and nobody's going to change his mind, so why rehash it for
the 53rd time?"

Now run and hide son...
