Nice Win! Great hockey game! - SensTV slightly messed up the SD broadcast for the first period again (very pixely), but they got it out for the rest of the game, thank goodness. It looks to me like the team is finally regaining its stride after allowing the wheels to..

Great - I am a huge Habs fan, I would like to say Congrats to the Sens. & all there fans you must be going crazy. I always pull for a Canadian team when or if the Habs are out Except T.O. I don't fell I have to expand on that subject. I think the..

Great Pre-Season - Well, is now over, and the Sens have come out I hope this is a sign of things to come. I don't expect them to win every game, but by all accounts, it looks like a good year ahead. Foligno will be a great addition to the team!

Is the Heatly signing that great? - Danny Heatly is the kind of player I want on this team but again the huge salary is making this league creep into the high, out of control salary race that existed before the lockout. I have no doubt he would have gotten that money anywhere as there still

They took a ton of penalties and I figured it was a matter of time until
Detroit scored. Pretty scary when the game tied up. Leave it to Alfie
to pop in the game winner - he seems unstoppable a lot of the time!

I'm concerned about Heatley though - that better not be a separated
shoulder...

Huge win for the Sens. It felt like a playoff game to me. Very tight
checking, with the emphasis on special teams. Cripes, there were some
cheesy penalty calls tonight, though.

Let's hope Heatley just has a bruise - the impact into the boards didn't
look that bad (damaging) to me, nor did he really seem to land awkwardly.

Yeah! It did have the feel of a playoff game - except for the
officiating. It seems like some games have a lot more head-scratchers
than others.

I really hope it's something like a bruised shoulder and not anything
more. As you know, Heatley hasn't missed a shift in the two and a half
years since he got here. Aside from everything else, he's the #1 scorer
on the power-play, and the PP absolutely has to be firing for them to
keep winning games. As you say, it didn't look bad, and I really hope it
isn't any worse than it looked.

Reports on TSN say it is. His absence will make things difficult, but not
impossible. It will be interesting to see how Paddock manages the lines and
special teams.

As mumps said, it looked like playoff hockey: it was fast and fairly furious,
low-grade officiating notwithstanding. I hope they kept something in the tank
for tonight against the Islanders.

I think maybe you had a feeling about what was left in the tank after
Saturday Andrew. I had to work into the evening Sunday night and missed
this one. I've seen clips of Spez getting nailed though. Ouch! Wicked
hit. It's strange but Heatley's tumble looked harmless and he's gone for
6 weeks - Spez's hit looked lethal, but it sounds like he's good to go
again tonight. You just never know. I feel especially bad for Heatley
in that his injury will most likely cost him a third consecutive 50-goal
season. I think he could have done it. Injuries are really the x-
factor. I guess better to have them banged up now than in March
though...
