The Wild took first place in the division back from the Av's with
a big home win on Sunday. Now tonight they need to go after
the Canucks and play hard tonight.

There's some bad blood between the Wild and Canucks, so the
Wild better be ready to play physical in tonights game! With Demitra
and Koivu still out, getting physical is the only way they'll win this
one.

Bring on the Boogaard! ;-)

Go Wild!!!

All that trash talk from that dumb goon and Naslund gets a hat trick. Here's
a quote from Canucks coach V, "No we don't need anyone to match against
someone who plays about three minutes a game and watches cartoons."

Ouch....I will hand it to the Canucks, they sure handled the Wild at
home last night. It is becoming very clear the only real consistent
scorer on the Wild in Gaborik. Sure others will contribute here and
there. I sure hope during this offseason they pick up another REAL
scorer. They have had that need for some time but each year they fail
to address the need and that is preventing them from becoming a real
playoff contender. As it stands right now, they are just a point or two
away from missing the playoffs if the season ended today.

Quit your whining, Fox.....it gets old fast, it's all you ever do.

The season doesn't end today, there's still a lot of season left
for the Wild to get healthy and continue making a run for the
playoffs.

The Wild have been hanging on and playing well, despite the injuries.

Sean Hill looked OK in his first game for the Wild. The Wild looked
great in the first period of the game with the Canucks, they just
couldn't keep up the intensity and physical play for the entire game,
and Harding in the net proved again that he is no replacement
for Backstrom. Naslund's first goal of the 3rd would have never
made it past Backstrom, IMO.

I'm getting ready to head to the game this afternoon against the
Jackets, and the Wild should gain another point today. Hopefully
Backstrom will be back in the net today.

Go Wild!!!

I think the Wild are only 2 points out from not being a playoff team.
And they do lack scorers?????

Playing well, if you mean by losing 9 of their last 13 games????

And it also seems like Riseborough would agree that the Wild are not
playing well. Just read his latest comments. Thank god he does not
have his head in the sand. I get that you love the Wild, but they are
not playing well right now. One person's whining is another person's
truth. Believe in god.

For starters Scotty boy, don't tell me how to think or what to say.

If you are so confident in the wonderful play of the Wild, why did you
say they should only get a single point today. Balls out and say 2
points since they are playing so well, playing a team that has struggled
as of late and playing at home. Maybe you secretly DO know the Wild are
not as good as you state.

Of course losing 10 of your last 14 games is playing well....are we even
watching the same teams. Makes me wonder how much time I am wasting
replying to an idiots message.

But wait, how many goals did they score today????? I stand by my
statement that they need to improve their scoring and add a scorer, if
you think that is whining rather than being critical, go to heaven.
Risebrough is making moves to toughen up the team while completely
ignoring his need for a goal scorer. In MY opinion, the team does and
has needed to add another goal scorer for some time. They will be
fighting tooth and nail for a playoff spot and will start the playoffs
on the road if they even make it. These are my predictions, not
whining. There is a difference. Mommy makes me go to church is
whining. Let's here your wonderful predictions since you have all the
answers.

Sure, but Fedoruk?
I'd like to see a better move than that!
Radivojevic needs a wake up call IMO.

They obviously signed Fedoruk because they think they need more
toughness to compete with teams like Vancouver or Calgary...and
they do. But they also need scoring, especially with Demitra out and
Gabby not at 100% for very long.

Today's game against Columbus was a prime example...they tried
to be physical and play scrappy, but totally broke down on defense....
where they have usually been solid. They need to get back to their
fundamentals and quit trying to be bangers and brawlers, because
that's just not their style, IMO.

Backstrom is obviously not 100% either, and that hurts because Harding
can't handle the load either.

I know we have had this discussion many times old man, but I still think
toughening up the team will help scoring. Perhaps the scoring will not
come from the enforcer, and in fact it will not, but they can set the
tone for the game. Kinda like premium gasoline making your engine run
faster. Just ask your CL....But I agree that having another premier
scorer would also help. I just don't think the Wild are going to be
able to get another big name scorer so their next bet is to try and
tweak thier internal components to make them better. BTW, you owe me
lunch today;)

If Fedoruk takes stupid penalties like he did yesterday, he will be
sitting like Carney did.

If banging and brawling are not their style, why get Fedoruk when you
need scoring....the old GOD principal (goalies or defense) is not going
to take this team to the promised land. In order to play GOD, you also
need to score goals, or at least have a healthy balance.

I have lost all hope in you now. Scorers help scoring. Tough players
like Boogyman get 3 minutes of ice time and are around primarily for the
fans and the occasional goon beat down. Lunch....if EP would have gone
for one more 2pt conversion it would be your nickel buddy.

The real game to watch today is Totino-Grace against Mahtomedi, that
should be a fun one.

I'll take Totino-Grace in that one.
