They certainly don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

I'm cheering for Colorado if the Flames loose on Saturday night against the
Oilers.

Guaranteed the Flames will loose in Colorado and the Avs are so hot right
now, they will go all the way to the cup...

At least you could hardly pick a better team to play. I mean, the
Oilers are absolutely brutal right now.

Our playoff hopes all depend on which Edmonton team shows up Saturday.
With one win in almost 20 games the law of averages is on Edmontons
side. If the wrong, over confident Flames turn up it could be one
interesting game. The way the Avs are playing if they do somehow make
the playoffs I wouldn't bet against them going all the way. We need a
Stanley Cup winner from the west for a change.

Doesn't matter how bad the Oilers are right now, the Lames always make it
difficult for themselves. They don't have that killer instinct. I would be
tempted to bet against the odds and say it comes down to the game on Sunday!
:( Hope it doesn't, but wouldn't be surprised...

New NHL format and schedule ? - I know plans to revamp the schedule were scuppered last year, but I think it is long overdue. Here's my 2 cents: Add two expansion teams to bring the league up to 32 (means 50 % of teams make playoffs). Align into 4 divisions (North, West, South,..

Well the pre-season is over... - What a disaster it turned out to be. I would have expected a couple more wins with the line-ups that played each game. We can only hope that the regular season starts off a bit better... ;)
