Geez. Good work if you can get it for him - make the team on an
overpriced contract, make a dumbass play, get a paid vacation and
relesed. Where do I sign up for that deal?

i don't know. the article on TSN didn't say. it didn't say they
outright released him, so i can only assume he's back to the phantoms.
at least for now.

They needed to clear a scratch spot for Cote's upcoming suspension.

Is this just a punitive move by the Flyers to pave the way for Boulerice to
return to the Phantoms instead of the Flyers once his suspension is served
or are they cutting ties with him completely? If he clears waivers, will
they just cut him or let him come back and earn his way back to the big
team? >> Stay informed about: boulerice on waivers |

I think he falls short of the league IQ minimum. Isn't the minimum one point

Wait, he doesn't get paid while he's suspended, does he?

I think he doesn't but he still counts against the cap.

According to reports this morning, the move was all about injuries and
creating roster space. The Eager injury meant they had to call up Ruczicka
and if both Boulerice and Downie were left on the roster it creates a double
hit to the cap. I was wondering about the reasons for placing him on
waivers only because the Flyers have a history of not quitting on players
and hanging with them sometimes a little too long. This reason, assuming it
is correct and not a cover story, seems more typical of the organization. >> Stay informed about: boulerice on waivers |

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Funny, that was about the time Williams
started showing signs of what everyone hoped he would be. Go figure.
Hitch is a great coach, but he doesn't seem to want to deal with
younger players. He's a guy you bring in when you have a solid veteran
core, and you need a little extra to push them over the top.

Stevens is the exact opposite. He's better with the younger players.
I'd be willing to bet when he talks to the vets he might as well be
talking to the wall. He looks too wet behind the ears for a guy who's
been doing this for 10 years to take seriously.
I'm still bitter and all around unhappy with the new nhl. I have
tickets for the game tonight. (only because they were free) I haven't
been to a game since before the strike. I'm not expecting much.
Hopefully I'm wrong. >> Stay informed about: boulerice on waivers |
